Important warning
Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. All your data will be permanently removed from our systems and cannot be recovered.
What Data Will Be Deleted ?
When you delete your CareDeal account, the following information will be permanently removed:
Profile Information: Name, email address, phone number, and profile photo
Account Data: User preferences, settings, and account credentials
Care Requests: All care requests you have created or responded to
Caregiver Data: Professional credentials, working areas, and service information (if applicable)
Subscription Data: Active or past subscription plans and payment history
Notifications: All push notification tokens and preferences
Before You Delete
Please consider the following before proceeding with account deletion:
Any pending care requests will be cancelled and removed
You will lose access to all caregivers you've connected with
This action cannot be undone - you will need to create a new account to use CareDeal again
How to Delete Your Account
Method 1: Delete via Mobile App (Recommended)
Open the CareDeal app on your mobile device
Navigate to Settings (accessible from your profile or main menu)
Scroll down and tap on "Danger Zone"
Tap "Delete Account"
Read the warning carefully and confirm your decision
Your account will be deleted immediately
Method 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access the app, send an email to our support team:
Send an email to caredeal@softwhale.be
Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
Include your registered email address and phone number
State clearly: "I request deletion of my CareDeal account"
Our team will verify your identity and process your request
⏱️ Processing Time: Account deletion requests via email are typically processed within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once completed.
Data Retention
After account deletion:
Immediate Deletion: Your profile and personal data are removed from active systems immediately
Backup Systems: Data may remain in backup systems for up to 30 days before permanent deletion
Legal Requirements: Some information may be retained for legal compliance (e.g., financial records for tax purposes) as required by Belgian and EU law
Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage data that cannot identify you may be retained for service improvement

As a user in the European Union (Belgium), you have the following rights:
Right to Access: Request a copy of your personal data
Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (this page)
Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
Right to Object: Object to processing of your personal data
Right to Restrict Processing: Request limitation of data processing
